This could be by selling used clothes, repairing them when they are damaged, or completely transforming them into new fashion items. A way that you can get involved and get started to become more sustainable is to buy secondhand clothing and accessories and to donate anything you no longer want as someone else will probably love it!
Well, why is circular fashion so important?
One major reason is that there are garment workers in countries like Bangladesh who are forced to work under extremely unfair and dangerous conditions for no one who is close to paying enough, just to make a few t-shirts that are labeled ‘trendy’ by the fast fashion industry.
Another reason is that we need to protect our planet. The waste we produce and the pollution caused by the production of these clothes is causing serious damage to the Earth and we need to change our ways in order to save the Earth for generations to come.
Thus, by reusing and recycling used clothing and accessories, we can begin to make the world a better place for all, as there will be a lesser need for clothing production and a slower pace than is needed, so that the pollution from it will reduce, and fewer fashion items will go to the landfill and be wasted.
